British actor James Corden has postponed his wedding so he can concentrate on his upcoming Broadway run.

The funnyman was due to exchange vows with his fiancee, Julia Carey, in September, but Corden will be too busy to walk down the aisle as he will launch his West End hit One Man, Two Guvnors in New York in April.

He tells The People: "I'm not getting married just yet, I'm too busy working. I'm off to New York in a few months. There is just too much going on."

Corden reveals he will be taking his fiancee and their young son Max with him to the Big Apple and they plan to get married once his Broadway run is over.

He adds: "Going to America is the best prize so fingers crossed it will work out on Broadway. I will be taking my family with me which will be amazing but it has meant we'll have to marry when we get back. We haven't set a date yet."
