Cheryl Cole has congratulated comic Rufus Hound on his fundraising spoof of her Fight For This Love dance routine.
Making her first TV appearance since her split with husband Ashley, Cole told the bearded funnyman "it's like looking in a mirror" after he performed the routine on Friday night's Sport Relief show on BBC1.
Hound, who won this year's Let's Dance for Sport Relief with his impersonation of Cole, copied her military-themed outfit complete with trousers split at the side which showed off his legs.
Cole joked: "You have put so much work into it you have even split your trousers."
The singer and X Factor judge said watching Hound's victory last weekend had cheered her up while she was ill in bed.
Cole pulled out of a string of appearances, including a spot on chat show Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, after being struck down with a bout of bronchitis.
The illness followed a difficult few weeks for the singer who announced her split from Ashley last month after reports that the England and Chelsea star had been repeatedly unfaithful.
Soon before the split she appeared to struggle during a performance of Fight For This Love at the Brit awards but on Friday she appeared relaxed and happy as she urged people to donate to the Sport Relief appeal.
Cole, who shot to fame as part of Girls Aloud, performed an elegant dance routine to her latest solo single, Parachute, which was released on Monday.
Dressed in a black dress which was cut very short at the front to show off her legs, she said the outfit was more comfortable than the gear she was wearing this time last year when she climbed Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief.
"This actually feels quite nice in comparison," she said.
"Doing Kili was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life."
Stars from sport, music and comedy helped BBC Sport Relief raise more than £29m.
Robbie Williams and JLS also performed during the TV marathon.
Viewers also saw injured footballer Beckham share a bath and a bed with Gavin and Stacey star James Corden.
