Coldplay donate £10k to ill fan

Brit Jody Duff, who is battling motor neurone disease, has been raising money for a foundation which helps others suffering from the condition and his efforts have been boosted by a big donation from his favourite band.

Coldplay handed over $17,000 or £10,000 to Duff's campaign in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Duff, 37, was previously given a chance to meet the Yellow hitmakers at a recent gig in London, and frontman Chris Martin dedicated a song to him on stage.
