The British funnyman was linked to the Spice Girls star last summer when they were spotted enjoying a day out together in London in August, just weeks after reportedly connecting backstage at the 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony.
However, the Get Him to the Greek star is adamant he has always been just friends with the singer.
He tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "As for me and Geri, we are still friends - we were never anything but friends."
Brand also insists he is not looking for love again following his divorce from pop star Katy Perry last year, adding: "I'm single at the moment actually and enjoying it. I'm trying not to roam the streets any more like the Terminator with a laser-sighted penis.
"I suppose I'm concentrating on work now and not especially looking for anyone."
