"He does like us to curtsy around him," Rob told UTV. "And that struck me as odd. But, do you know what? I've got used to it.
"It turned me against him initially, but now I do it without thinking."
But Kenneth can't be all bad - he's showing Welshman Rob the sights and introducing him to important elements of the local culture. Like the cuisine staple, the Ulster Fry.
"It's a meeting of two cultures," Rob confirmed. "I bring in the leeks, the bits of coal, the daffodils ..."
"And I make you your Ulster Fry every night before bed," Kenneth added, with a laugh.
On a serious note, something that seems rare where the two actors are involved, they're hoping the play is a great success with local audiences.
"To be here in Belfast and in this fantastic new building makes the reality of it very, very exciting," Kenneth said.
The play, entitled The Painkiller, is billed as one of the highlights of the theatre's first season in its new £18.1m home.
