Boyzone have made an emotional TV appearance performing together for the first time since bandmate Stephen Gately's death.

The group sang their new single Gave It All Away, which features Stephen's vocals, on GMTV.

The song is taken from the band's new album Brothers and pays special tribute to Stephen, who died of natural causes in October last year at his holiday home on the island of Majorca.

Singer Ronan Keating admitted the band were nervous about performing without their late bandmate.

He told Lorraine Kelly: "We've spoken about it. We recorded this song about nearly 18 months to two years ago - when Stephen first put the vocal on.

"So we've had it for a long, long time...

"But this is now the point where we start performing it...

"This is the part we've been nervous about. Because we don't know what it's going to be like as a four piece and actually getting out there and singing it - so I guess it will just take time to figure out."

He added: "He was very proud of this vocal that he put on this song. He loved this song, he sang it all the time."

Bandmate Mikey Graham said: "I think we're just still trying to find our way... moment by moment really. It's a very difficult process to be doing the new single without Steo - though we feel he's with us."
