Boy band Connected and dancing dog act Tina and Chandi have been named as the second two acts to go through to this year's Britain's Got Talent final.

The dancing rescue dog Chandi secured an automatic finalists' place after scoring the highest number of viewers' votes among the eight acts performing in the second live semi-final.

Judges Piers Morgan, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell then selected Connected over fellow runner-up Frank Sinatra impersonator Neil Fullard to take the second final spot.

Each night this week, the forty semi-finalists are being whittled down in live shows until the remaining 10 battle it out in Saturday's final for a chance to appear at the Royal Variety Performance.
