Cult folk rockers Bon Iver thrilled their fans at Britain's Latitude music festival on Friday with their only UK show of the year.

The Blood Bank hitmakers arrived onstage 15 minutes later than billed, but the delay didn't dampen fans' spirits.

Singer Justin Vernon apologised for the band's tardiness before launching into opening song Perth, and the headlining group played a lengthy set of its hits.

As he told the crowd to sing to track The Wolves Act I And II, Vernon declared: "You've got to get as loud as s*** because there's a lot of other music going on at this music festival."

The first day of the event was marred when two 18-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of theft and questioned by police.

Elbow are set to headline the festival in Suffolk, England on Saturday.
