Beyonce's helicopter sparks complaints

An investigation has been launched after Beyonce's regular helicopter trips during a recent stay in the UK prompted noise complaints from neighbours.

The singer often stays at the luxurious Burley estate in Hampshire when she is visiting England and travels to and from the property by helicopter. However, the noise from the aircraft has infuriated other residents and prompted a flurry of complaints to the local council.Local resident Helen Carlile tells The Independent newspaper: "It's often late at night and very noisy. They seem to come in very low ..."She (Beyonce) was staying at the estate for a while and obviously on tour, so she was in and out every night ... Other celebrities are believed to come in, but Beyonce is the one we're most aware of."Officials have launched an investigation into the complaints and they are looking into whether the estate's owner, US businessman Noam Gottesman, has permission to run a helipad at the site.A spokesman for the council says: "No planning permission has been granted for a permanent helipad on the land. We have visited the site and met with the owners' representatives and the enforcement case remains open."
