The bust up began in 2009 after Anne and her sister Denise were excluded from plans for a 30th anniversary Nolan Sisters' tour.
"My sisters had their reasons for not having me on the tour and I didn't agree with the reasons," Anne told This Morning presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.
"They said the record company didn't want me to do the tour, to me that was a bit ridiculous.
"At the time it was very hurtful and I was very upset and I kind of went off on a tangent and did this article in a newspaper saying that my sisters had stabbed me in the back.
"Probably, at the time, I meant it. But it kind of carried on and on and when it gets that far, it's difficult to put a stop to."
The bitter feud affected the whole family and would continue for years before any reconciliation was made.
Meanwhile Bernie had first been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010, but was all clear by February 2012. Eight months later, she was told that the cancer had returned and was this time incurable.
It has made me realise that no matter what happens in my life from now on, nothing will ever be big enough to make me fall out with my sisters again.
"When Bernie was first diagnosed with cancer we had spoken, but we still weren't sort of getting together," said Anne.
"And then when the cancer came back that was when we all got together, we went to visit her at the hospice and we just weren't thinking about anything except Bernie.
"Nothing more mattered to us at that point."
Bernie eventually decided to spend the rest of her remaining days at her home in Surrey.
"We all went to Bernie's house where she died, and she was unconscious, but we felt like she could hear us so we played videos and we watched Wimbledon with her and we talked to her.
"To be with her at that time, all of us together, was lovely."
Anne said her sister's death made her realise the importantance of family and was adamant that she would not let anything come between her and her sisters again.
