Britain's Got Talent hopeful Lettice Rowbotham won over audiences on Saturday with her electric violin and kooky personality - and she says she is still "in shock" over the messages of support she has received.

Described by judge David Walliams as "the poshest contestant we've ever had on the show", Lettice wowed the panel by performing a medley of current tunes on her violin.

Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Walliams were on their feet following the 24-year-old's audition, putting her through to the next round of the competition.

Since appearing on stage during Saturday's show, Lettice told This Morning's Phillip and Holly she has received a huge number of supportive messages from the public - something she wasn't expecting.

"I'm still in shock, I still think I'm in a dream since Saturday," she said.

The quirky musician added: "(There's) all these amazing new, lovely people that have introduced themselves!"

She has since revealed she has crowned her new fans "Lettice Leaves", commenting: "Lady Gaga has her name for her fans, and I'm not as big as Lady Gaga but I thought it would be quite funny to have my Lettice Leaves."

As a classically trained violinist, Lettice has worked in the music business for a number of years, having previously played with Matt Cardle and Olly Murs, as well as performing for the wedding of Russian President Vladimir Putin's daughter.

But despite her extensive experience, Lettice insists it did not make her Britain's Got Talent audition any less daunting.

She said: "We all love Britain's Got Talent it's an amazing show (but) it's actually quite a nerve wracking ordeal. It's a big thing to do.

"I was quite happy toddling along just doing my little gigs here and there!"
