The star grew close to brunette Sarah Richards backstage at shows on the Beat Again hitmakers' tour, and he's now confirmed romance has blossomed.
Merrygold tells the Daily Mirror, "I'm dating, we've been seeing each other for a couple of months. It's all going really well - we're really happy."
A source tells the publication: "Aston and Sarah have known each other for a while but it's only recently that they decided to make it official. Aston's been perpetually single throughout his time in the band but now he's telling friends that he's a one-woman man."
