Hollywood golden couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have reportedly split and are said to be fighting over who gets custody of their six children.
Reports in a number of British Sunday newspapers alleged that the couple have already signed legal papers ahead of their £205m separation.
It is understood Pitt wants full access to the couple's three biological children, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne, as well as their three adopted children, Maddox, Zahara and Pax.
Rumours have been circulating for months questioning the viability of their five-year relationship.
Earlier this month, Jolie told German magazine Das Neue:
"The sparks fly at home if the nice Brad fails to see that he's wrong and reacts in a defiant way. Then I can get so angry that I tear his shirt. We're not violent enough for these things, and we consider our six children," she said.
She also claimed being faithful was not "essential" for a relationship.
"Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together. We make sure that we never restrict each other."
"I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship. It's worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterwards."
The pair didn't attend the Golden Globes last week, although Pitt's film Inglourious Basterds was up for an award.
Pitt also took part in Friday's Hollywood fundraising event for Haiti's earthquake survivors organised by his friend George Clooney, but UN Goodwill Ambassador Jolie did not attend.
The celebrity couple famously fell in love on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith in 2004, when Pitt was still married to Friends star Jennifer Aniston.
The couple's representatives haven't confirmed or denied the latest reports.
