The All Stars special will include the most recent ice champion, Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle.

Previous winners who will also return include Suzanne Shaw, who was crowned the winner in 2008, former Emmerdale actress Hayley Tamaddon, who won in 2010, rugby player Kyran Bracken, who won in 2007 and Ray Quinn and Sam Attwater, who won in 2009 and 2011 respectively.

They ice champs will be joined, for better or worse, by past competitors including singer Bonnie Langford, Waterloo Road actress Zaraah Abrahams, Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter, footballer David Seaman, singer Gareth Gates, actors Gary Lucy and Todd Carty and last year's shining star Joe Pasquale.

Presenters Phillip Schofield and Northern Ireland's Christine Bleakley will be rink-side to preside over all the action and the Judges will be on hand to deliver their verdicts.

Speaking about the new series, Phillip said: "Viewers are in for an absolute treat this year.

"I'm over the moon we'll be welcoming back to the ice some of our very best skaters and characters from over the years"

Olympic skating superstars Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will return one final time to help train the celebrities in what will be the 30th anniversary of their famous Olympic Bolero win.

With previous show winners wanting to retain their title, runners up having old scores to settle and show favourites hoping to wow viewers, the final series of Dancing on Ice promises to go out with a bang.

Dancing on Ice returns to UTV on Sunday 5 January.
