The humorous routine was made famous by the actor as his character Carlton Banks would often break out the moves on the popular 1990s sitcom, which starred Hollywood actor Will Smith.

When it was announced Alfonso would be entering the jungle, viewers speculated if he would indeed perform the dance for his fans, but after a few days he vowed there would be no dance until he was voted out.

But the 42-year-old finally gave in and burst into action during Tuesday's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! after getting a pep talk from fashion designer David Emanuel.

Complaining that he wanted to return home, the actor said: "I feel that this show has taken my spark away, it has been more difficult than anything I've ever had to do in my life and it was starting to literally kill me."

Emanuel told him: "When I met you I thought you were a fabulous, larger than life character and really funny but now that guy has gone.... if that's what you want then go, no-one is stopping you....You are just sitting here not taking part but reaping the benefits... buck up a bit....you don't want to go down in history as boring."

Ribeiro proceeded to teach Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington the dance, with Joey Essex, Emanuel and dancer Vincent Simone joining in.

A delighted Adlington said: "Today was finally the day we got to see and learn the Carlton Dance. I've been dying to learn it but he wanted to save it. He changed his mind today.... What was even better was I got to see Alfonso doing it, which is what I really wanted.

"I wanted to have that lovely flashback and memories of it growing up. Just amazing, it made my day."
