Chart-topping singer Adele has been immortalised by sculptors, as her waxwork figure was unveiled at Madame Tussauds in London on Wednesday.

The model of the Skyfall singer is dressed in a black gown, to replicate her look for last year's Grammy Awards performance.

She joins stars such as Beyonce, Rihanna, Amy Winehouse and Britney Spears at the famous museum.

A replica of the singer is also being displayed at the Amsterdam branch.

While Adele was unable to attend the official unveiling of the waxwork, she did see the model before it went on display.

"They've even got my chin right!" she said of the figure.

"That's scary! It's amazing - I feel a bit emotional."

Tussauds spokeswoman Nicole Fenner said: "She is one of the most influential and acclaimed British female artists ever and looks right at home alongside our other pop greats."
