The star-studded Children In Need telethon pitted the nation's favourite boy band One Direction against returning all-girl supergroup Girls Aloud on Friday night.
The two pop acts both featured on the fundraiser, which had raked in over £15m as WENN went to press.
The annual BBC charity drive included Girls Aloud's first comeback performance and musical treats from Susan Boyle and former child star Charlotte Church.
The TV marathon also featured a sneak peek at the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas special, entitled The Snowmen.
