Sinn Fein is seeking legal advice over Fermanagh/South Tyrone count as a third count goes ahead.

Sinn Fein’s Michelle Gildernew and the Independent unionist Rodney Connor left the count centre early on Friday morning after two rounds of counts. Both said they were "confident":

There's pressure on UUP leader Sir Reg Empey to resign after he failed in South Antrim for the Tory-Unionist pact. One of his own MLAs - David McNarry - says Sir Reg should consider his position.

The TUV's Jim Allister has also failed in his bid to represent North Antrim and the TUV vote has collapsed across the province.

As it stands, the DUP have returned eight seats. Sinn Fein have four. The SDLP have three MPs. The Alliance Party have taken one. The Ulster Conservatives and Unionists - New Force haven't taken any seats, along with the TUV. Lady Sylvia Hermon retains her seat in North Down, as an independent. Recount to resume at 11am for Fermanagh South Tyrone.

UTV's Aideen Kennedy says: Conor Murphy says he's "delighted" to have ertained his seat in Newry/Armagh and that he doesn't believe refusing to sit at Westminster has any negative impact on his constituency.

When asked about the UUP link-up with the Tories, he said: "Just look at the history books and you'll see that a Tory link-up here has never worked out".
