Daithí McKay

SF- North Antrim

Daithí McKay was born in Ballymena, educated at St Louis' and resides in Rasharkin. Daithí is the youngest member of Ballymoney Council and the Assembly.

He sits on the Assembly Environment Committee and is the founder and chair of the All-party group on Climate Change. He is also putting forward a Bill in the Assembly for a Plastic Bag Levy. On the Policing Board, he has focused on Human Resources and compositional imbalance.

He believes resolutely in the right of people in places like Rasharkin to live free from all forms of sectarian harassment.

He has been involved in Aid work in Palestine, and conflict resolution in the Basque Country and Kurdistan.
