Bill was born in Belfast, where he lived until the age of seven when his family moved to London, returning when he was twelve.

He has a broad employment history, writing for local newspapers (including Antrim Times, Sunday News, Newsletter and Sunday World), editing a number of local publications (Easy Access, Body Thoughts, Nightowl) and running his own leisure business for ten years.

For the last five years Bill has worked with leading local charity, Simon Community.

Married to his wife Michelle for twelve years, he lives in North Belfast.
