Clothing store D2 Jeans has gone into administration amid fears of job losses in Northern Ireland.

The chain, which has 16 branches in Northern Ireland, closed a number of stores across the UK on Wednesday.

It has not been confirmed which stores have been affected.

The remaining branches will stay open as the administrators try to find a buyer for the business.

It is the second time in two years that the chain, originally set up by Scottish entrepreneur Sir Tom Hunter, has gone into administration.
