It is expected the devolution of policing and justice will be on the agenda.
The First and deputy First Ministers reporting back on their meeting with the Prime Minister and probably presenting plans for legislation to be introduced in the Assembly at the start of the next session.
Early September looks likely to be a key time.
Gordon Brown is set to outline the proposed policing budget.
If Peter Robinson is satisfied then he will start a consultation process with a view to pushing ahead.
It is also likely the Alliance party leader David Ford will be identified as the future minister.
It all seems to be going smoothly but make no mistake there is nervousness within the Sinn Fein ranks.
If the devolution does not take place by the end of the year there are all the necessary ingredients for a full scale crisis.
That, of course, is all in the future but as Ministers head off for their holidays they will be well aware some difficult days are ahead.
