Late Bee Gees star Robin Gibb's coffin is to be transported through his hometown as a final farewell to fans.

Gibb's coffin to travel through hometown

Gibb passed away last month after a long battle with liver and colon cancer and a private funeral for friends and family is due to take place at St Mary's Church in Oxfordshire, England on Friday, close to where the musician lived.

A glass-sided carriage, drawn by four horses, will transport the coffin through the town of Thame to the church where the service will be held.

In a statement, Gibb's family says: "At his wish, he will say a final goodbye to fans and his hometown of Thame, Oxon (sic), this Friday prior to the funeral."
