The public are advised of possible disruption to transport on Thursday as a yellow weather warning for strong winds is in place.

Westerly winds of 50-60 mph are expected, with gusts of up to 70 mph in coastal and hilly areas.

The wind is expected to peak on Thursday morning.

The maximum temperature will be 8 deg C.

Later winds will gradually ease across Northern Ireland as they move to southern Scotland and northern England.

A Met Office warning is in place until 9pm, with moderate westerly winds in the north expected on Thursday night.
